Ispaghula Husk Orange – 30 Sachets are a natural, high fibre drink that provides you with gentle and effective relief from constipation.

How Ispaghula Husk Orange works

This product contains the active ingredient ispaghula husk. It is a natural fibre that has the ability to absorb up to 40 times its own weight of water and belongs to a group of medicines known as bulk-forming laxatives.

It works by increasing the bulk of the stools, encouraging the bowels to move stool through the digestive system, relieving constipation.

The colonic bacteria are believed to feed on the hydrated material. The mass of the bacteria cells then increases, which can help soften stool.

Directions

Pour the contents of the sachet into an empty glass. Add 150ml of cold water. Stir briskly for 3-5 seconds. Drink straight away, preferably after meals.

Use one sachet in the morning and one sachet in the evening unless prescribed differently by your doctor.

Warnings

If you experience an allergic reaction after drinking this product, discontinue use and speak to your GP or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice.

If there has been no bowel movement after 3 days, consult your doctor.

Do not take the last dose immediately before going to sleep.

Do not take this product if your doctor has told you that you have phenylketonuria (PKU) as it is sweetened with aspartame which contains a source of phenylalanine. It may be harmful for people with phenylketonuria.

Age restrictions

This product is not suitable for children under 12.

Storage information

Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
